by Chris EgerFlorida HB49 / SB448, called the Warning Shot Bill, has gained traction in both bodies of the legislature. Based on the court case of Marissa Alexander, sentenced to 20 years for firing a warning shot at her estranged husband, the bill would make it legal to do so in self-defense.
