Woman shoots ex in chest as he beat her, tried ‘to get answers’

When authorities arrived, Carlson was still outside, with the gun he had taken from the woman and a half-drank beer beside him. Carlson apparently told the officers, “Don’t blame her, I was just trying to get answers.”
