Wounded Warrior inspires ‘America’s Got Talent’ with rendition of ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ (VIDEO)

Wounded Warrior and former Marine Sal Gonzalez inspired “America’s Got Talent” judges, as well as the audience, with his rendition of Bill Wither’s “Ain’t No Sunshine.”

Gonzalez served as a machine gunner in Iraq in 2004 when an I.E.D. hit his Humvee, breaking his leg in two. He was hospitalized and his leg was amputated, and the first thing he wanted to know when he woke up was when he could get back to his fellow Marines.

Unfortunately, Gonzales wasn’t allowed to return to duty. As his body healed, he used music as a tool for a different kind of recovery. He says he’s been singing since he was talking, and uses his musical talent to show other wounded warriors that yes, it is possible to return to a normal life after serving.
