Winchester upgrades Super semi-auto shotgun series with new X4 model

Winchester Repeating Arms unveiled the next generation of its Super X autoloading shotgun series with the announcement of the Super X4.

Designed to offer faster cycling on a lighter platform, the SX4’s ergonomic construction provides smoother swinging than previous models.

Chambered in 12 gauge, the Super X4 weights just over 6 pounds with an overall length at 47-inches. Featuring a  26-inch barrel length, the barrel itself is made from steel with a matte finish. Length of pull rests at just over 14-inches. The shotgun is equipped with an Invector-Plus Choke Tube System which includes full, modified and improved cylinder chokes. A tubular magazine holds a total of four rounds.

The new Super X4 will be available in four models, including the SX4, SX4 Waterfowl Hunter, SX4 Field and SX4 Field Compact. Composite-stocked SX4 and SX4 Waterfowl Hunter come in a 3-inch and a 3.5-inch chambering.

The SX4 has a suggested retail price starting at $799 with prices varying based on model.
