Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in New York City Monday afternoon.

The suspect, who is wheelchair-bound, rolled into the bank around 2:00 p.m. and passed a note to the teller demanding money. There’s no indication that he was armed.

The man was given $1,200 in cash, then simply rolled back out of the bank and wheeled westbound.

An image of the suspect, who is still at large, was captured on the bank’s surveillance video. He is described as a black male, in his late 20s and wearing a gray hoodie.

It’s unknown when the police were called, the response time or any other factors which would have prevented them from catching a bank robber in a wheelchair.
