A new simulator at the London Science Museum lets patrons experience what it’s like to ride backseat in a Typhoon fighter during a low-level mission.
The Typhoon is the Royal Air Force’s latest frontline jet. The twin-engine, canard-delta wing, multirole fighter is a highly maneuverable fly-by-wire fighter jet capable of reaching speeds up to Mach 1.5. The London Science Museum’s simulator showcases the nimble aircraft as it screams through the canyons of North Wales.
To create a compelling experience, the simulator utilizes dynamic motion combined with an audio and visual presentation, much like the sims used to train fighter pilots.
The ride is now showing seven days a week at the London Science Museum.
