Sheridan, WY – -(Ammoland.com)- As Weatherby adds staff to an industry-leading team at their new Sheridan, Wyoming location, they demand two things from their executives: Proven expertise in the firearm industry; and a personal passion for the shooting sports.

Adam Weatherby explains, “By assembling a group that embraces hunting and shooting, at work and at home, we ensure that Weatherby’s mission is in very good hands.”

Two individuals who share that DNA, Luke Thorkildsen and Justin Clark, recently joined the legendary firearm and ammunition company in critical executive roles. Thorkildsen and Clark are both avid big game hunting enthusiasts. They’re both accomplished long-range shooters, as comfortable on a competition bench as they are in a treestand. And each brings a wealth of professional firearm industry experience to Weatherby.

Luke Thorkildsen is Weatherby’s new Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product Development. He previously represented Walther Arms in the same capacity. Justin Clark, Weatherby’s newly-appointed Director of Sales and Customer Service, also joins the company with impressive firearm experience after serving as the Director of Sales at Gunwerks in nearby Cody, Wyoming. According to Clark, “Luke and I bring unique yet complimentary business perspectives to the company as we embark on an amazing next chapter for Weatherby.”

Luke Thorkildsen adds, “We’re building a roadmap that combines exciting innovations in product development, along with authentic marketing and a dynamic sales network strategy that will put more hard-hitting, flat-shooting Weatherby rifles into the hands of hunters and shooters, worldwide.”

Weatherby’s roadmap includes the recruitment of additional firearm and hunting experts who will join the team of a family-owned company that embraces heritage and a cooperative corporate culture.

“Our move to Wyoming is more than a geographic relocation. It’s a company-wide revitalization,” Adam Weatherby says.

“Here we will not only build the finest rifles to ever bear the Weatherby name, but we’re also amassing the most talented and passionate group of professionals ever assembled in the shooting sports industry.

The next decade will ingrain our name as deeply in rifle innovation as my ‘Wildcatter’ Grandfather Roy Weatherby did back in the 1940s.”
