Visiting with a pre-WWI Gewehr 98 Mauser (VIDEO)

Hickok45 has shown off some bent-bolt K98s from the Second World War and now shows some love to it’s classic grandfather: a Great War-era G98.

There is nothing quite like the Mauser bolt-action rifle, from which arguably sprang the most widely used military rifle series of the late 19th and first half of the 20th Century (barring the Mosin-Nagant which probably surpassed it in total number of guns produced).

Even with this Spandau-made rifle being some 112-years old, you can recognize the lineage in today’s bolt guns.
