U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapters leadership has completed the development of the TWAW Shooting Chapters Instructional Standards and Development (ISD) Program. The program supports the volunteer chapter leaders in their efforts to continually improve as instructors and educators for The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapter membership.
Implementing techniques and curriculum based on industry best practices, the TWAW ISD Program enhances the Chapter Leader’s instructional methods by providing defined goals with a clear roadmap for continued growth and achievement as instructors. Highly qualified Regional Trainers will guide and mentor chapter leaders, providing a clear pathway of success for them to meet the measurable standards and to meet their instructional goals. This investment in the continued growth of shooting chapter Leaders, in turn, promotes high levels of safety and education for all TWAW Shooting Chapter members.
Twenty Two Regional Trainers have been selected from within the organization through a lengthy interview and testing process. All Regional Trainers have extensive experience along with numerous firearms instructor certifications including Training Counselor certifications from either the NRA or the USCCA or both.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am about this new program,” says Carrie Lightfoot, Founder, and Chairman of the Board. “We have such a dedicated and passionate group of women leading our chapters, the ISD Program gives us the ability to support them and their growth as instructors in a significant way. This will result in not only the empowering of them, but together, we will provide the highest level of fundamentally sound training and holistic education possible for our members.”
Phase I will begin December 1, 2018, with an organization-wide assessment of Chapter Leader Instructor skills and knowledge. Once completed, individual goals and mentoring training plans will start. “Standards and goals without measurement are pointless. We all must understand where we are before we can set goals for ourselves. Then, we must measure how we are progressing toward those goals. We surely are poised to make an even bigger impact on women gun owners throughout the country.” shares Lightfoot.
