We killed two big copperheads right over my right shoulder here last week. You usually carry a shotgun on the ranch because you can’t afford to miss. This isn’t target practicing. It could mean the difference between life and death. … It’s better to have a gun than a stick to poke it with because a stick isn’t going to kill it fast enough before it gets to you.”
