The neat-o and retro Remington Nylon 66 rifle (VIDEO)

For 30 years Remington made one of the neatest– and lightest– rimfire semi-autos on the market, the trendsetting Nylon 66.

Crafted in large part with then-revolutionary DuPont Nylon Zytel-101, an early polymer, the first Nylon 66 hit the market in 1959, tipping the scales at just 4-pounds. By 1989, over a million had been produced and the sweet-shooting .22LR, with its 14-shot buttstock-mounted tubular magazine, was a hit with fans. Now, out of production for three decades, it’s a hit with collectors and Mixup98 had the run down to include some fairly good riflery, in the video above.
