Marlin brought a number of new Custom Shop offerings to Atlanta last week but one cowboy gun, in particular, stood out from the crowd.

The Custom Shop has long been around to cater to individual demands to include a choice of caliber, barrel type, trigger pull weight, wood finish, engravings, and inlays and they grabbed some of the new variants to bring to the 146th National Rifle Association Annual Meetings and Exhibits at the Georgia World Congress Center.

One of the neatest was the Extra Fancy Color Case Model 336. The rifle, available in .30-30 or .35 Rem, has been completely deborn and deburred then given a high-grade stock with a hand rubbed and checkered oil finish to complement the case coloring. Cost from the shop is $3,795.

Other models on hand from the shop included the 1895 Modern Hunter, which features an XS rail, big loop handle, laminate painted stock and cerekote in a color of the customer’s choice for $1,995.
