Texas Man Arrested for ‘Offensive Hand Gesture’ in Crowded Theater (VIDEO)

A man caused massive panic in a Bryan, Texas theater when he walked in, made a gun gesture with his hand and starting saying, “Choo, choo, choo.” No, he was not playing with a train; he was pretending to shoot movie-goers with his hand gun gesture.

Caroline Morales, who came to the theater with her husband, Robert, for the premier of “World War Z,” described the intense situation, “It was an extremely packed theatre. There were people on all sides and it was already uncomfortable… It was dark and nobody could really tell, especially if you were in the back, and you just see a guy going ‘choo choo choo,’”said Caroline. “The rumor quickly spread that it was a gun and everyone is rushing to the exit quickly. We couldn’t have got out if we wanted to,” she said.

The man, Darrell Reynolds, 54, was arrested for disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor with a fine of up to $350.

Officer Kelley McKethan of the Bryan Police Department told reporters, “It will not be tolerated in Bryan. It is an offensive gesture. It alarmed people and we took the appropriate actions.”
