SHACKLEFORDS, VA –-(Ammoland.com)- Team International Training, Inc. (ITI) members Brandon Wright (Team Captain), Gary Byerly, Morgan Allen and Laura Torres-Reyes shot strong this past weekend at the IDPA Carolina Cup, held in Oxford, NC June 14th through 16th, 2012, bringing home two Division titles for their team.

In an arena of over 300 competitors, Wright and Byerly were able to stand out, securing ESP Division Champion (2nd Overall) and CDP Division Champion (8th Overall) respectively. Allen shot valiantly as well, taking home ESP Division 4th Place (6th Overall). Torres-Reyes also competed in the SSP Division and finished with a score of 367.13. The IDPA Carolina Cup is considered one of the top three IDPA matches of the competitive season, right behind the S&W Indoor Nationals and the IDPA Nationals. Full results may be viewed at the Carolina Cup website.

Wright finished with a score of 207.84. “The Carolina Cup is one of the most sought after trophies in IDPA and this year Team ITI walked away with two of them,” remarked Wright. “I’m very proud of my teammates’ performances in this year’s match. The hard work and dedication to the shooting sports is what makes our team so valuable.”

Wright continued, “I would like to thank Paula and Frank Glover, along with all the match staff, for another year of challenging stages. Its matches like this that forces shooters to demand nothing less but the best in their gear and equipment. Recently as this year, all of Team ITI has switched to using FrogLube as our choice of Cleaning, Lubricating and Protection (CLP). FrogLube has kept all our guns running and with so many movers in the match, a gun malfunction could not be afforded.”

Byerly finished with a score of 227.44. “The 2012 Carolina Cup built on its reputation as one of the premier IDPA matches in the country. The match was comprised of 16 Team ITI Gary Byerlystages of extremely tight shots that required a diverse array of skills,” commented Byerly. “There was no coasting through as every stage had numerous pitfalls to avoid and opportunities to excel. My equipment worked flawlessly and I’ve been pleased after switching to FrogLube for my maintenance requirements. Thanks to our sponsors Rudy Project for their glasses which help me to find those targets out in the woods and G2 Gemini for keeping me cool with our new team shirts.”

Allen completed the match with a score of 223.38. “Congrats to my teammates Brandon and Gary for fantastic finishes at this year’s Carolina Cup. As with past matches, the stages put together this year absolutely ran the full spectrum of different shooting positions and technique needed, proving again that doing well at the Cup takes a well-rounded shooter, and a commensurate training program,” observed Allen.

Team ITI would like to thank some their sponsors for their support: Atlanta Arms and Ammo, FrogLube, G2 Gemini, Laura Burgess Marketing and Rudy Project USA.

Byerly and Torres-Reyes’ next competition will be at the 2012 Virginia State Championship, held at the Kettlefoot Rod & Gun Club located in Bristol, VA June 23rd, 2012. Wright’s next match will be the Pro-Am Championship, held at the Universal Shooting Academy located in Frostproof, FL July 13th through 15th, 2012. Allen can next be seen competing at the NC State IDPA Championship, held at the Watauga Gun Club IDPA in Boone, NC August 11th, 2012.
