USA – -(Ammoland.com)-  Taylor’s & Co. Brings Back the Old West with Modern Precision

The 2016 elections give us a break from looking only at firearms that might be banned before we finish paying them off.

For the first time in a long time we can remember the pleasure of shooting and take a look firearms that may serve no other purpose than the simple joy of ownership and range time.

Swinging the pendulum back from hyper-modern, high-capacity, black-plastic defensive tools brings us to an era of wood and color-case hardening.

Italian-made 1873 Single-Action Army Colt reproductions are beautiful no matter what your taste in firearms is. These pieces may not be the first or even best pick for the nightstand or daily carry, but it’s hard not to admire their beauty.

Unlike similar offerings from other importers the Taylor’s & Co. Deluxe models offer a bit more.

Similar to the difference between a family sedan and European sport sedan the Deluxe models have been tuned up. The hammer is lowered ever so slightly which makes for a quicker and easier reach and undisclosed magic to the internals. Though the classic four clicks remain cocking the Smoke Wagon Deluxe feels more like gliding a blade over ice. The end result is a handgun that shoots as good as it looks. As a non-cowboy-action shooter I decided to test these improvements and see if they made any difference on the range.
