The Syrian-born owner of an Orange County check cashing business was taken into custody Tuesday by federal agents for illegally exporting rifle scopes and other equipment to the conflict-ravaged country.

President Donald Trump, at a Wednesday news conference with Jordanian King Adullah II, condemned the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria, saying that it was now his responsibility to deal with the ongoing crisis in the war-torn country.
