In the past 14 years, police have used flashbangs to either seriously injure, maim or kill people – including the officers themselves in some cases – during raids, according to an investigation conducted by ProPublica and the Atlantic published Monday.

Georgia police who critically injured toddler during raid won’t be charged

The Georgia police officers involved in a drug raid labeled “hurried and sloppy” and ended in the critical injury of a toddler on May 28 won’t face criminal charges, a Habersham County grand jury decided Monday.
