A domestic incident Tuesday night inside a Bronx apartment left one man stabbed and his attacker fatally shot.
Matthew Peebles, 63, told authorities he shot Anthony Sainphor in self-defense after he first stabbed Peebles. However, Sainphor’s girlfriend, Ashley Ayala, who is the daughter of Peebles’ girlfriend, said Sainphor stabbed Peebles only after Peebles first kicked in her bedroom door.
Sainphor, who was shot a single time in the head, did not survive. It’s unclear whether Peebles will face any charges.
