New Berlin, Wis. –-(Ammoland.com)- Sportsman Channel announced its Q1 program lineup headlined by new and returning series under their “Red, Wild & Blue America” initiative that appeals to the diverse interests of today’s American sportsmen and women.

The new lineup expands the network’s drive to present the lifestyle of people who love – and live – to hunt, shoot and fish, including stories about travel, adventure, survival/military, cooking and eating, work, family and more with 560 new episodes and 27 new returning series.

Additionally, the network is premiering new series who made moves from competing networks, such as The Season with Justin Martin, 100% Real Hunting and – adding to the network’s already large dominance as the archery leader – Mathew’s Dominant Bucks.

“We are kicking off the New Year with the most exciting and entertaining lineup of real people, real stories, and real drama ever offered in this genre,” said Gavin Harvey, CEO of Sportsman Channel. “We are looking forward to presenting our ‘Red, Wild & Blue America’ to our loyal viewers and attracting new ones.”

The Q1 lineup is part of the network’s “Red, Wild & Blue America” initiative – where the American Spirit and the Great Outdoors are celebrated in equal measure. Highlights of series demonstrating this spirit are military- themed show Combat School (premiering Thursday, Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT) where cameras follow – for the first time ever – a platoon of soldiers as they train for the most technologically-advanced, intense, and realistic combat situations in military history; Iditarod Unleashed (premiering Tuesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. ET) – a series of specials about the ‘Last Great Race,’ the dogs, drama and amazing races that have been part of this storied dogsled race across the Alaskan tundra, culminating with an exclusive special two-part program on the 2014 race; Shark Commanders (premiering Monday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. ET) – a behind-the-scenes look at the characters and battles of these shark hunters as they hunt the top of the ocean’s food chain: the mako shark; and award-winning series MeatEater, with critically-acclaimed author and outdoorsman, Steven Rinella, is returning for its fourth season, moving to a new day and time – Thursdays beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Additionally, Sportsman Channel’s enormously popular, news-talk, outdoor show – NRANEWS Cam & Co. – is moving its on-air time to 6 p.m. ET beginning Monday, Jan. 6 due to robust demand. Hosted by Cam Edwards, and airing from the NRANEWS Studios in Washington, D.C., NRANEWS Cam & Co. is the first and only news-talk series on television that can authoritatively address the issues that are vital to more than 80 million of America’s sportsmen and sportswomen.

“Sportsman Channel enters 2014 with great momentum and we look forward to continuing to bring the most exciting and compelling hunting, shooting and fishing programming on television to the vast Red, Wild and Blue audience,” said Marc Fein, Executive Vice President, Programming & Production of Sportsman Channel.
