Spokane police officers that were investigating a murder scene Tuesday fatally shot the suspect after he drove up to the residence and presented a firearm.
Spokane detectives were investigating a woman’s death as a possible homicide when they identified a possible suspect. Moments later, the same suspect drove up and parked his truck just outside. He exited with a firearm in his hand and police opened fire, fatally striking him, KXLY reports.
The unidentified suspect was briefly examined by medical personnel and was later declared dead. The victim has yet to be identified.
No officers were injured during the shooting. As per standard procedure after an officer-involved shooting, they will be placed on administrative leave until an investigation has been conducted.
