Screen-Shot-2015-01-14-at-10.30The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office had two fine rugs made for the entrance to their new $81 million building, but after they had already been lying at the entrance for a couple of months, a deputy noticed something awry about one of the rugs on Wednesday.

The rugs feature the sheriff’s star, as well as an outline of the state of Florida, but where the words should read “In God We Trust,” one of the rugs features an embarrassing misspelling which now reads, “In Dog We Trust.”

The manufacturer is replacing the $500 rug with a new, improved, and proofread version. Offers on the sheriff’s Facebook page to buy the old rug were not entertained and eventually all comments about the “Dog” rug were deleted.
