Fort Smith, AR -(AmmoLand.com)- Samuel T. Sicard, president and CEO of First Bank Corp. and First National Bank in Fort Smith, today joined the U.S. Marshals Museum in announcing the completion of the $2 million gift for the Samuel M. Sicard Hall of Honor.

In March, First Bank Corp. pledged $1,000,000 to match contributions made by the late Sicard’s family and friends for the Hall of Honor.

“It is humbling to witness the numerous donations that are being made from the friends and family of my father to the Samuel M. Sicard Hall of Honor,” said Samuel T. Sicard, son of Samuel M. Sicard and current board member of the U.S. Marshals Museum. “My father had a true passion for the U.S. Marshals Museum and also had a profound love for his friends, family and for our community. I am deeply grateful for every gift that was made in his memory and in the memory of all those marshals who sacrificed their lives to carry out justice.”

“The U.S. Marshals Museum was a cause that Samuel M. Sicard strongly believed in and supported,” said Jim Dunn, president and CEO of the U.S. Marshals Museum. “Thank you to First Bank Corp., as well as Sam’s friends and family, for helping us honor Sam’s legacy of serving others. I know he would be proud to recognize all the U.S. Marshals and their families who have sacrificed so much for our nation.”

The Samuel M. Sicard Hall of Honor will be a permanent exhibit in the U.S. Marshals Museum. Once complete, it will serve as a contemplative destination that acknowledges, with respectful gratitude, the U.S. Marshals who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

In the more than 225-year history of the U.S. Marshals Service, more than 250 Marshals have died enforcing our nation’s laws.
