School bus driver thwarts shooting (VIDEO)

Bus driver Alice Bradley noticed a man armed with a gun walking through the parking lot of South Macon Elementary School in Macon County, North Carolina, and when the man noticed her, he aimed the gun at Bradley, prompting her to take action.

Bradley did the only thing she could think of at the time to stop the man – hit the gas in her car as she accelerated towards him. The man, later identified as 38-year-old Adam Conley, fled as Bradley’s car came at him.

Conley, along with his girlfriend, 29-year-old Kathryn Jeter, were arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with intent to kill, gun possession and animal cruelty.

Authorities said the couple appeared to be on drugs and said they intended to kill students and teachers inside the school.

Bradley is now being hailed a hero for stopping a possible mass shooting.
