Schneiderman Allegations May Help Explain Why He’s ‘Anti-Gun’

Disarming good people just ensures unchecked “gun violence.: (Eric Schneidermen Attorney General/Facebook)

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- “Four Women Accuse New York’s Attorney General of Physical Abuse,” The New Yorker headlined in a blockbuster Monday evening report. “Eric Schneiderman has raised his profile as a voice against sexual misconduct. Now, after suing Harvey Weinstein, he faces a #MeToo reckoning of his own.”

Four women “accuse Schneiderman of having subjected them to nonconsensual physical violence… They allege that he repeatedly hit them, often after drinking, frequently in bed…”

Two of the women “say that they eventually sought medical attention after having been slapped hard across the ear and face, and also choked. [One] says that Schneiderman warned her he could have her followed and her phones tapped, and both say that he threatened to kill them if they broke up with him.”

It’s important to note that Schneiderman claims innocence, and is entitled to that legal presumption. Unfortunately for him, that’s not the way the #MeToo movement works, and no less a figure than Hillary Clinton, wife of accused rapist and serial abuser Bill, has asserted “Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed, and supported.”

If, after an investigation that includes full due process, it is determined the women are telling the truth and Schneiderman is lying, it could help explain why he is so virulently anti-gun (except for the ones in the hands of men enforcing the will of the state he represents).

Despite taking an oath to the Constitution, Schneiderman opposes the right of the people to bear arms. He also opposes the right to keep arms suitable for militia duty. Add to that his extortion of gun shows, his sponsorship of falsely-labeled “buybacks”,  his exploiting of violent crime in New York to push for restrictions in states that have fewer disarmament edicts (and less violence), and his push to use a “mental health” blanket dragnet to further eviscerate RKBA, and it’s fair to ask why anyone should believe anything a man who breaks his oath says about anything.

If it turns out Schneiderman is investigated, tried and found guilty of the accusations, particularly felony death threats, it will be a fitting bit of “karma” that he would emerge a “prohibited person,” forbidden by law to own a gun. It would also be yet another example of someone who can’t – or more likely won’t – control himself who demands to control everyone else who does not share his moral defects.

Plus, why would he want to let the women have an equalizer?

UPDATE: Schneiderman resigns.
