Savage’s Fox line of premium shotguns saw the debut of a quartet of A-grade side-by-side offerings this week.
Unveiled at the 146th National Rifle Association Annual Meetings and Exhibits at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, the only thing polymer to be found on these double-barrel box locks is the carrying case they ship with. Old school styling is quickly obvious with these guns from a distance, from the precision-cut checkering on the high-finished American black walnut stock to the bone and charcoal case color-finished receiver.
The straight gripped buttstock has a 14.5-inch length of pull and a 1.5-inch drop at the comb.
The line includes interchangeable IC, modified and full chokes.
Two 20-gauge and two 12-gauge models are available in either 26 or 28-inch barrel lengths. A front brass bead sits atop the solid game rib.
MSRP across the line is $4,999.
