Russian doc delivers fatal blow after patient gropes nurse (VIDEO)

A Russian doctor is facing charges after he killed a man by punching him in the face last month at a hospital in Belgorod, about 440 miles south of Moscow.

Video surveillance showing the encounter was recently discovered and has since made its way around social media.

The doctor, a surgeon identified as Ilya Zelendinov confronted the shirtless man, 56-year-old Yevgeny Bakhtin, in an exam room after a nurse apparently informed the doctor that Bakhtin touched her inappropriately.

Zelendinov asked the man why he touched the nurse as he punched Bakhtin, knocking him to the ground. A man who was at the hospital with Bakhtin jumped in and the doctor took him on as well.

After less than a minute, the second man seemingly surrenders and realizes Bakhtin was still lying on the ground where he fell and not moving. Zelendinov then sees the man is unresponsive and quickly begins to administer CPR. For two minutes Zelendinov and a nurse work to revive the Bakhtin, all to no avail.

Bakhtin was pronounced dead at the scene, and Zelendinov now faces charges for death through negligence. If convicted, the doctor could face up to two years in jail.
