Running the open-bolt Uzi sub gun in a sand stoppage test (VIDEO)

Designed and built in Israel for famous use by the IDF in the gritty Middle East, you would think that the Uzi would hold up to a sandy environment.

With that in mind, the Military Armament Channel got a hold of a NFA-compliant select-fire Uzi and went to work with a few handfuls of sand. Of course no gun is sand-proof but you may be interested in just how much the Israeli 9mm can digest– and how easy a field strip can get it back in action in the worst case.
