With a classic American walnut stock and threaded stainless steel barrels, the new Ruger Hawkeye Hunter rifle line blends tradition with features sought after by modern sportsmen.

Building on the company’s Hawkeye Standard line, the Hawkeye Hunter series will initially be offered in four popular chamberings: 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win, 30-06, and .300 Win Mag. All feature a factory-installed 20 MOA Picatinny rail for mounting optics, Ruger’s LC6 trigger, and a hinged floorplate. Like other Hawkeye rifles, the Hunter uses a one-piece bolt with traditional Mauser-type controlled round feeding, a claw extractor, and a three-position safety.

Using free-floated, cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrels with 5R Rifling, the Hawkeye Hunter rifles have 5/8X24TPI threaded muzzles. Barrel length varies by caliber with .308s running 20-inches, 6.5CM and .30-06 taping out to 22-inches, and the .300 Win Mag coming in at 24-inches. Overall length likewise varies from 40- to 44.75-inches, depending on caliber, while weight is between 7- and 8-pounds. All of the rifles in the series have a 4-round magazine except for the magnum chambering which carries three.

MSRP on the new Ruger Hawkeye Hunter series is $1,099 across the board, although that will likely be lower to the consumer.
