Republican’s anti-poaching trip halted by stampede of elephants (VIDEO)

While in the Gorongoza National Park in Mozambique, Africa, on an anti-poaching trip, Arizona Republican Senator Jeff Flake was charged by a herd of elephants.

In a video posted by Flake to his Twitter account Thursday, the herd can be seen coming around the bend of a dusty trail. Moment by moment, the elephants appear to be moving faster, as the vehicle the senator is in heads out in reverse as someone says, “Go, go! Yeah, that’s a real charge.”

The stampede was the apparent reaction of the herd after the outsiders got too close a baby elephant, which can be seen running along with the other, bigger guys in the video.
