Quiet time with the factory-threaded Ruger Mk IV rimfire pistol (VIDEO)

Chad with IV8888 brought the brand new Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite to the range and kick the tires to see how the fresh take on the proven line shakes out.

Although Bill Ruger literally started his company in the 1940s with a semi-auto single stack .22LR pistol styled after the Japanese Nambu and they remained a staple, it was only with the new Mark IV line that the guns were made user-friendly when it came to takedown and cleaning.

Now that they have replaced the Mark III guns, the updated Mark IVs are the only game going– and Chad seems to really dig the threaded-barreled 22/45 variant, outfitted with a Dead Air Armament Mask suppressor.
