Indianapolis, IN -(AmmoLand.com)- Protect The Harvest – a national pro-agriculture coalition, will be holding its annual Meet & Greet along with the Indiana Council for Animal Welfare (ICAW) at the Indiana State Capitol on Thursday, January 21st.

The event will be held in the Indiana Statehouse South Atrium and will begin at 9am. The theme of this year’s event is “Keeping America Free and Fed.”

After coffee, pastries, and lunch, the event’s formal proceedings will commence at 12pm ET with an introduction and a set of guest speakers. Those guest speakers will include Mark Barnett of Friends of ICAW, President of Indiana Farm Bureau Randy Kron, and Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt. The event will be concluded by Special Guest Speaker and Founder of Protect The Harvest, Forrest Lucas.

“Virtually everything that the anti-agriculture activists propose these days has at least one thing in common and that is…it costs more to put food on your plate,” explained Brian Klippenstein, Executive Director of Protect The Harvest. “It costs more at the grocery store, at the restaurant and that’s just bad news for consumers. We want all the legislators and policymakers in Indianapolis to understand the impact these groups have on our freedoms and our access to affordable food options.”

Protect The Harvest is a national coalition formed to defend the rights of America’s farmers, ranchers, animal owners, and outdoors enthusiasts.
