NSSF on the industry’s immunity to lawsuits (VIDEO)

The National Shooting Sports Foundation is taking exception to recent remarks made by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about the gun industry being “immune to liability.”

As part of their #Gunvote series, the NSSF on Thursday released a two-minute clip taking Clinton’s statements at the seventh Democratic Presidential debate in Flint, Michigan earlier this month, and countering them point-by-point.

Clinton has repeatedly argued the 2005 Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which was designed to insulate the gun industry from frivolous lawsuits, instead removed “any accountability” for firearms makers and sellers and has made it a polarizing issue on the campaign trail. Her current political opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, voted in favor of the legislation and has defended his reasons for doing so.
