NRA challenges Obama to one-on-one debate (VIDEO)

The National Rifle Association’s Wayne LaPierre released a video challenge to President Obama to face him in a one-hour televised debate on gun politics.

Calling out the President’s recent list of executive actions as, “Washington politics at its most cynical and dishonest” before cutting away to footage of Obama shedding tears at a press conference on gun violence, LaPierre slams the chief executive over declining gun crime prosecutions.

Citing their decline of meeting with the President for a televised town hall event hosted by Anderson Cooper on CNN last week as being a “fixed fight” at the end of the eight minute long video, LaPierre threw down the gauntlet for a more lengthy public discourse.

“Ill meet you for a one-on-one, one-hour debate with a mutual agreed upon moderator on any network that will take it,” says LaPierre. “No pre-screened questions and no gas-bag answers. Americans will judge for themselves who they trust.”

Guns.com has asked the White House press office for a response.
