Northwestern Outdoors Radio Receives Top Awards From The Northwest Outdoor Writer’s Association

Polson, Montana – -(Ammoland.com)- Northwestern Outdoors Radio received first and second place Excellence in Craft awards in the category of “Best Audio” last week during the Northwest Outdoor Writer’s Association annual conference that took place at the KwaTaqNuk Resort in Polson, Montana.

The first place entry, Exploring Idaho’s Snake River Country, aired in June of 2013 and took listeners on a jet boat trip into Hells Canyon, a fishing expedition near Swan Falls Dam, and to select locations within the Snake River National Conservation Area.

The second place entry, titled This Show is for the Birds, aired in December of 2013 and juxtaposed an overview of the Audubon Christmas Bird Count across the Northwest with a field hunt for geese in Washington State’s Columbia Basin with Meseberg Guided Adventures.

Both shows aired on Northwestern Outdoors Radio, a weekend show that is one of the five most widely distributed outdoors radio shows in the nation.

John Kruse is the host and producer of the hour long show that covers fishing, hunting, wildlife and a wide variety of outdoor recreational topics within the Northwestern United States.
