Noir goes in depth on the priceless ‘Big Bang’ meteorite 1911s (VIDEO)

Colion Noir, by far the NRA’s go-to guy when it comes to next level firearms curiosa and exotic things that go boom, sits down with the man behind a set of guns made from a 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite.

The pistols were crafted from a portion of the Gibeon meteor, which is sometimes referred to as “the Cadillac” of meteors. It was discovered in the sub-Saharan part of Africa now known as Namibia in 1838. However, experts think it landed on Earth during pre-historic times.

“Working with meteorite is completely seductive,” says Rob Bianchin of Cabot Guns about his company’s set one-of-a kind right and left handed custom 1911 pistols.

The video takes you behind the scenes on the process to mill the parts from the raw ore, and transform them into a functional piece of interstellar art– that costs a cool $4.5 million.

On the bright side, you will never see somebody else at the range with one just like it.
