Nikon’s new Buckmasters 3-9×50 Matte BDC riflescope model is headed to retailers, according to a press release issued by the company Wednesday.

The scope joins Nikon’s Buckmasters II lineup which currently features 4-12×40 and 3-9×40 models.

The new Buckmaster provides gun owners bright and clear fully multicoated lenses paired with the long range capabilities of the BDC reticle.

The reticle also pairs alongside Nikon’s Spot On Ballistic Match Technology — a free app and online program — to optimize long range shooting. The technology matches a shooter’s riflescope to the ammunition to produce data designed to get shooters on target.

The scope boasts precise 1/4-inch at 100 yards reticle adjustments as well as spring loaded instant zero -reset turrets. These turrets can be returned to the zero-mark after sight-in. The Buckmasters II 3-9×50 includes a fixed 100 yard parallax setting and is waterproof, fogproof and shockproof.

Though there’s no word on the exact date the scopes will make their debut on retailer shelves, when the Buckmasters II does arrive consumers can expect to see a price tag of $179.95.
