New Jersey Turkey Seminars Offered Next Two Saturdays

USA -(Ammoland.com)- The first of two free Wild Turkey Hunting Seminars will be held this Saturday, March 11 at the Pequest Trout Hatchery in Warren County.

Former DFW biologist and retired regional biologist for the National Wild Turkey Federation Bob Eriksen will cover the life history of the state’s largest and smartest game bird and share some excellent tips for beginners and experienced turkey hunters.

There will be a calling clinic conducted by members of the NJ Chapter of the NWTF at 2:30 p.m. immediately following the seminar.

The second seminar will be held the following Saturday, March 18, in Batsto Village in Burlington Co., presented by NJ Chapter president Lou Gambale.

The seminar will include tips to improve the hunting skills of both the novice and experienced turkey hunter, including preseason site selection, turkey feeding habits, equipment, and calling strategies.

The life history of the wild turkey will also be discussed, and a calling clinic will follow.
