Dayton, OH. -(Ammoland.com)-  Hi-Point Firearms (Model 995) carbines are robust, accurate, reliable and affordable price. Sales of this popular carbine are in the hundreds of thousands.

The Hi-Point OEM carbine magazines hold 10-rounds. For engineering reasons and the huge volume of sales there were no plans by Hi-Point to make a higher capacity magazine. Earlier 2016 Hi-Point finally came out with a 20-round 9mm single stack magazine called the Redball.

Hi-Point Redball 9mm magazine:

It fits and feeds the 9mm Hi-Point carbine without fail and for that reason is the only high capacity magazine tested and approved by Hi-Point Firearms.

While it looks like two magazines welded together–it’s not!

The mid-point Polymer molded grip fit magazine well stabilizer called a Locking plate locks the magazine firmly in the carbine’s grip thus preventing wiggle and assuring reliable ammunition feed.

For the early part of 2017 Hi-Point plans for a new high-capacity magazine in .45 ACP.

Also on the drawing board are .40S&W and .380ACP magazines. It takes time to develop and create a reliable feeding magazine, much more complicated than most folks think and the company is so busy making carbines and pistols it is hard to design and push into manufacture a magazine, but they are trying.

Current 9mm Specifications:

  • 20-round capacity (currently 9mm only) Heat treated steel body; black oxide finish.
  • Polymer base, follower and locking plate.
  • MSRP $24.99.
