MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -(Ammoland.com)-  The Land Trust Alliance, a national land conservation organization working to save the places people love by strengthening land conservation across America, will convene the nation’s largest gathering of land conservation leaders Oct. 28 in Minneapolis.

Rally 2016: The National Land Conservation Conference continues through Oct. 30 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Full details are available at www.alliancerally.org.

“Land conservation is not exclusively a Republican priority or Democratic cause,” said Andrew Bowman, the Alliance’s president. “Our work evokes bipartisan support because it represents the answer to so much of what ails our nation. Whether the question is how to preserve clean water, safeguard against a changing climate, protect biodiversity, ensure food security or overcome the epidemic of obesity, land conservation is the answer.”

Citing the strong bipartisan support demonstrated in Congress for land conservation last year, when 383 members of Congress voted to pass landmark legislation, Bowman will speak Thursday about broadening the appeal and benefits of land conservation.

Media is invited to attend.

“Despite a polarizing campaign season marked by extremes, I take heart in knowing we have a cause that brings people together,” he said. “We as a nation can – and will – chart a bipartisan path forward. And the more than 1,600 land conservation experts attending Rally 2016 can help us unify around the places that we need and love.”

Featuring more than 100 workshops and over a dozen seminars, Rally 2016 is the nation’s premier gathering for conservation leadership and training.

Media interested in attending should contact Joshua Lynsen, the Alliance’s media relations manager, at jlynsen@lta.org or call (202) 800-2239.
