DAYTONA, Fla. – -(Ammoland.com)-The countdown to the Daytona 500 is on with excitement continuing to build for the newest driver of the Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s and TRACKER Boats NASCAR team, Ryan Newman. Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s and TRACKER Boats will serve as a 2018 primary sponsor for Newman’s No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

Both iconic outdoor brands will be featured on Newman’s hood during the 60th running of the Daytona 500 on February 18, 2018 — the first time the brands will be featured together since Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s and TRACKER joined forces last September to establish North America’s premier outdoor and conservation company.

“I am very excited and honored to represent Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, TRACKER and all the outdoor enthusiasts who are as passionate about hunting, fishing and conservation as I am,” said Ryan Newman, himself an avid sportsman. “These brands have passionate fans who love racing and the outdoors, and my goal is to bring that passion and energy to the track this season starting with Daytona.”

The season opener will also see racing action from Austin Dillon in the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s and TRACKER Boats Chevrolet Camaro in the Powershares QQQ 300—the NASCAR XFINITY Series opener at Daytona on Saturday, February 17. The Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) also includes several races as primary sponsor in the XFINITY Series with both Dillon brothers—Austin and Ty—and a season-long associate sponsorship in both the Cup and XFINITY Series.

The NASCAR season also kicks into gear with other Bass Pro Shops and Tracker Boats drivers including 2017 NASCAR Cup Series champion Martin Truex, Jr. and Jamie McMurray.

“It’s hard to believe we’re just one month away from kicking off an exciting year of racing by celebrating Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s and the great outdoors,” said noted conservationist, racing enthusiast and Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris.

“We’re very happy to continue to partner with respected conservationist and hunting and fishing buddy Richard Childress for the 2018 racing season. Each of these drivers is a conservation ambassador who will showcase our brands and commitment to conservation to millions of racing fans who love the outdoors. We couldn’t be prouder to cheer them on.”
