Summer Smith, whose 18-year-old son’s life was spared by the gunman who went on a deadly rampage last week at a Roseburg, Oregon, community college, recently spoke with CNN during an interview. Smith discussed the trouble her son has endured after witnessing the massacre and the two things the gunman told her son he had to do in order to save his life: Watch the victims die and deliver a package to the police once the nightmare was over.
