Superior, MT -(Ammoland.com)- Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (MFWP) will offer a wolf trapping certification class in Superior on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the 4H Building on the Mineral County Fairgrounds (corner of 5th Avenue East and Pennsylvania).

The class is free, and certification is mandatory for anyone planning to trap wolves in Montana. Interested students may register online at fwp.mt.gov and follow the links to “wolf trapping certification.” Those needing help with registration should call the Missoula FWP office at 406-542-5500.

In addition to specifics on equipment and techniques, participants will learn about the history, ethics, management, regulations related to wolves and wolf trapping. This will be the last wolf trapping certification class in Montana until after trapping season.

Montana’s wolf trapping season runs from Dec. 15, 2014 to Feb. 28, 2015.
