Never again will Hollywood elites Michael Moore and Seth Rogen have classic onion straw loaf and an asiago Michigan turkey sandwich, at least, not from Brann’s Steakhouse and Grille in Wyoming, Michigan.
“Michael Moore and Seth Rogen are NOT allowed in my place,” the electronic sign outside the restaurant reads.
Restaurant owner Tommy Brann posted the message on the sign after actor Seth Rogen and filmmaker Michael Moore criticized the film “American Sniper” on social media.
On Twitter, Rogen wrote, “American Sniper kind of reminds me of the movie that’s showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds.”
And Moore wrote, “My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse.”
The two received blowback for their opinions, including being banned by Brann.
“It really disturbed me what they said, especially after Chris Kyle dying. He’s far from being a coward. I was mad, it’s my restaurant, I want to do it, so I did it,” Brann told ABC News. “I have a lot of military friends, my uncle Dave was a prisoner of war in Germany, my uncle Ted served, my dad served. I think it was a slam on the military and a slam on Chris Kyle.”
