European optics company, Meopta, added a new riflescope developed for long-range precision shooting and gave it the fancy title of “30mm ZD 6-24x 56 RD.”

“Designed for sniper rifles, the Meopta ZD 6-24×56 RD is a precision long-range riflescope that allows shooters to achieve deadly-accurate shot placement at extreme distances,” the company said in the announcement.

The scope hull is a 30mm one-piece, aircraft-grade aluminum alloy tube that features the new MilDot II RD illuminated reticle with integrated range-finding markers. The scope is calibrated for target estimation in 7.62×52 NATO, .308, 338 Win Mag, and 12.7mm. Parallax adjustment, located on the turret, ranges from 27 yards to infinity.

An advanced RD illumination system control is located on the ocular and is operated by push button. Users have seven reticle intensity settings, allowing for effective vision in nearly all light conditions. The reticle has a three-hour auto-off setting, saving battery life if the user forgets to turn it off.

Meopta covers the new scope with its lifetime North American transferable warranty. The ZD 6-24x56x RD riflescope’s MSRP is $2,069.99.
