New Berlin, Wis. –-(Ammoland.com)- When Steven Rinella makes a promise to the MeatEater Film Crew to find them a tasty mule deer for Thanksgiving dinner, he delivers.

This week, Rinella continues his hunt in the badlands of southeast Montana for mule deer. Audiences will get an insider look into what it takes to film an episode of the show, and they’ll watch Rinella make good on his promise to provide his crew with a good-eating mule deer buck for their respective Thanksgiving dinners.

Sportsman Channel, the leader in Outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, is proud to announce the third installment of a five-part Montana series on MeatEater.  In this unique episode, Rinella not only hunts mule deer, but he also gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the planning, preparation, and techniques that go into filming MeatEater.

This is a challenging public land hunt in rigorous terrain, and after finding a great location to glass for deer, Rinella spots a buck and puts himself and his crew into action.  After a careful approach into shooting range, Rinella makes a shot at just over 350 yards with his rifle.

“It’s not a great trophy for hanging on a wall, but it’s certainly a great trophy for cooking over a campfire. It’s mild, tender, delicious – just what the best venison should be,” says Steven Rinella, host of MeatEater. “The guys I work with in the field work hard and smart to bring our audience a great product, and I’m glad I could bring them some great tasting venison for their Thanksgiving dinners. “

Steven Rinella’s adventures in Montana continue with new guests throughout the month of April, all culminating in a two-part season finale featuring a first time mule deer hunt for TV personalities Joe Rogan and Bryan Callen on April 28th and May 5th at 9 pm ET/PT
