Waterfowling Artifacts:  The Harry M. Walsh Waterfowling Artifacts Exhibit is a mini-museum tracing the evolution of waterfowling from an economic necessity to the sport of today. Some of these seldom seen treasurers loaned from private and museum collections date back hundreds of years, and include decoys, guns, gunning boats, and countless related items, some of priceless rarity. The 2015 exhibit will feature a special presentation of the Ward Museum’s “Bottoms Up” exhibit that showcases the inscriptions, brands, poems, paintings and other personal and personalized markings on the bottoms of decoys by some of the 20th century’s great carvers, including the Ward Brothers. In addition, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum will be sharing a portion of their “Chesapeake Swan Song:

From Commodity to Conservation” exhibit that details the evolving relationship with the people and swans of the Chesapeake Bay.

The Artifacts exhibit is located at Easton High School. Click here and scroll to the tabs to view this year’s exhibitors.
