While all of the military branches have long-used working dogs, the Marines have perfected the Multi-Purpose Canine which embed with deploying Marine Special Operations Companies.
These dogs and their handlers train for hard service in any environment and as the Marines are first and foremost the masters of amphibious warfare, this includes lots of small boat operations and training to jump out of helicopters. Not the typical stuff you get for your Labradoodle at Pet Smart.
