Manhattan couple finds RPG in new apartment

After moving in to their new apartment, one Manhattan couple found something that wasn’t in their lease agreement.

The couple was surprised to find a military-style rocket propelled grenade in their second story residence. They quickly called the police and the NYPD bomb-squad responded to the East Broadway flat, the New York Post reports.

After assessing the RPG, the bomb-squad determined it was inert, but still confiscated the ordnance. They searched the apartment and didn’t find any other notable items.

The man who just moved in told the Post the bomb “was big” and that he was relieved to learn it was a dud.

No crime was committed and no arrest was made, but the couple may want to renegotiate the terms of their lease agreement.
