Man with Guys Fawkes mask, guns arrested outside Dallas police station (VIDEO)

Dallas police arrested a 22-year-old man Wednesday who was outside of a police substation with two guns and a Guy Fawkes mask.

Adan Salazar is charged with making a terroristic threat, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and possession of marijuana.

Police say Salazar drove his Dodge Durango to the Southwest Patrol Substation and began asking what an officer characterized as “strange” questions. The officer detained Salazar for a mental health evaluation and the man later admitted to having two guns in his vehicle.

“There was a point in time where he made the comment to one of the officers that detained him that he intended to shoot,” Deputy Chief Albert Martinez said. “He didn’t elaborate if he intended to shoot the station, shoot the officers, but he did say he intended to shoot.”

Police recovered two 9mm handguns, along with a Guy Fawkes mask.

No shots were ever fired and no one was injured.

“They were in the right place at the right time, let’s be honest,” Mike Mata, president of the Dallas Police Association, said of the officer detaining Salazar. “What if they hadn’t been outside the station at that time. What if this had happened in the evening?”
