Man survives being shot in the face by Brooklyn gunman (VIDEO)

A Brooklyn man who was targeted by an unknown gunman survived being shot in face at point-blank range Sunday.

Shaun Green, 41, was standing outside a store in East New York when a man walked up to him and pulled out a gun. The suspect shot Green one time in the head before fleeing on foot, New York Daily News reports.

Green was transported to Brookdale University Hospital to be treated for his gunshot wound. He was placed into a medically induced coma and is listed in critical condition.

It’s unknown why Green was targeted, but police said he has been arrested 20 times for crimes including weapons and drug possession.

The suspect remains at large and police ask anyone with information regarding the crime to contact NYPD’s Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
